Where a GST Battery Creates Value for Vehicles:
- Hybrid cars use gasoline, emit CO2, and need two “engines”
- If a full-size, normal speed, electric-only vehicle can get 3 miles per kilowatt-hour of energy stored, then 67 kWh would be needed for 200 miles of range
- With GST’s price per kWh < $150, a long range electric-only vehicle battery would cost < $10k, compared to $25-50k for other batteries.
- GST can lower its price, and when deducting the cost of the engine, transmission & other components, and when factoring the cost to buy electricity versus gasoline, the real cost of the GST zinc/air battery for a full-range, electric-only car is economically viable – TODAY
